Film Project Genre Research- It

The movie It, is a horror film. Within the first two minutes of the film, It, the scene is established on a rainy day where a little boy gets to stay home from school with his big brother. The little boy has his brother build him a paper boat that he can go play in the rain with, when he plays with the boat in the gutter, the water washes the paper boat down the drain, where the antagonist is introduced. Some film making techniques used in the making of the movie It are a lot of dolly's, close ups, and wide shots to establish the scenery. In the opening credits, some job title features are, the production, picture, director, and actors and actress'. The budget for the film It was $35 million, and worldwide it grossed a total of $700 million. It was nominated for MTV Movie Award for Best Villain, Empire Award for Best Horror, and MTV Movie Award for Most Frightened Performance. An award It won is the, MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Duo.
